Smile Institute COVID-19 Guidelines
Patient safety is our top priority at the Smile Institute. That is why we have taken the time to create in-office guidelines for patients and staff as we navigate through this COVID-19 pandemic. Our office abides by all laws and regulations put into place by our state officials, CDC, and ADA.
The guidelines we have created are to help us follow those laws and regulations while also keeping our patients and staff as safe and healthy as possible. Listed below is a series of questions in regards to COVID-19 symptoms and contact, we ask that if any of our patients have answered ‘yes’ to these questions that they call the office and reschedule for a later time.
Along with these pre-screening questions we also have created a new check-in process for appointments. This process helps maintain social distancing within the office and limits patient contact.
Prior to appointments patients will:
- Be asked to call the office upon arrival and wait in their car until the office is ready for them to come up stairs. This helps us space out patients and properly pre-screen everyone.
Before entering the office patients will:
- Be asked a series of COVID-19 related questions
- Have temperature and blood pressure checked
- Use hand sanitizer that the office will provide
Our staff with be utilizing all PPE resources that are available and using the upmost precautions during appointments.
The front lobby during this time is closed to visitors and we ask that patients do not bring anyone with them to their appointments. If you rely on special transportation or care please contact the office prior and notify us of your situation.
In accordance to current Oregon Laws, we ask that patients wear a mask in our building/office. This helps us regulate contamination and keeps our office in compliance with the law.
We thank our patients for showing respect and understanding during these times. It takes community effort to bring change to what we are currently facing and the more we work together the sooner we can be done with these trying times.
