COVID-19 Updates

Keeping our patients safe and healthy is top priority at the Smile Institute. We wanted to provide you with key updates to our office regarding COVID-19. Due to recent executive orders put into place by State and Federal governments, our office will be temporarily closed for all preventative and non-urgent services.

We will be available for emergency care only. This includes:

  • Severe toothache pain (not just a twinge)
  • Severe swelling of your gums, face, or neck
  • Bleeding in your mouth that does not stop
  • Infection or a substantial risk of it
  • Severe Trauma

All other appointments will be rescheduled after notice from the Oregon Dental Association or Centers for Disease Control that we may resume normal operations. We are trying to do our part to “flatten the curve” of this highly contagious virus. We are urging our patients and our community will stay home for a few weeks so that the number of infected individuals never gets high enough such that our hospitals cannot help those who need it.

This decision is in the best interest for all involved and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Limiting services will also help our healthcare providers preserve PPE as resources have become scarce during this time.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope you and your family stay safe & healthy while also respecting the requests put into place by our government to stay home and limit contact with the general public. Please feel free to contact our office with questions or concerns during this time. We are here for you and will do our best to help you with the limited resources we have.

A notice will be sent out when we are informed from higher agencies that we are able to service preventative and non-urgent appointments again. Until then, we wish you well.

Thank you,
